As we roll into the dog days of summer, CRM Vertex, a web portal provided for Microsoft Dynamics CRM, is pushing out a refreshing new release – version 2.2.0.0. Though we previously announced we were moving to a semi-annual release cycle there was so much great functionality we wanted to deliver that we couldn’t wait. Three months later we have a very exciting release, one that we especially look forward to rolling out to our international current and potential customers and partners. Continue reading on about our recent release and how to get started with CRM Vertex.

Localization

CRM Vertex is now, more than ever, a global product. With a third of our partner community based outside the United States, representing 13 countries, we’re excited to announce out of the box localized portals. You read that correctly, out of the box localized portals, starting with a total of nine languages including German, French, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Portuguese, and English. Even better news, we’ll continue to add more languages in future releases. Don’t see your language on the list? No worries, version 2.2 allows partners and customers to build their own translation files to support languages that are currently not supported out of the box.

Module Builder Upgrade - Multiple Views & Filters
One of the best features of CRM Vertex is undoubtedly the Module Builder. This toolset allows users to create truly compelling and customized portals very easily and quickly using a point and click configuration interface entirely within Microsoft Dynamics CRM – no development needed. Based on customer and partner feedback version 2.2 expands on our already great functionality now allowing you to surface multiple forms and views from an entity through the portal. This allows you to quickly provide different views, filtering options and multiple forms targeted for specific actions, such as creating, updating, and viewing of records. We are also making the Module Builder even easier to use with smart option filtering and entity metadata refreshes right from the Module Builder screen.

Product Improvements

In addition to these larger features, we continue to make vast improvements in many areas of the product. For example, version 2.2 allows users to save time by being able to upload multiple file attachments in a single upload. Other updates include column sorting on all views and lists, improvements to date and time pickers, UI and accessibility improvements, and improved error handling and messages. There are many more improvements that you can read about in our Vertex Release Notes, found in our portal which you’ll have access to if you sign up for a trial.

Why CRM Vertex

Customer self-service and support continues to be an important topic for businesses today. A 2015 survey on multi-channel engagement showed that 61% of respondents have a more favorable view of an organization that offers a mobile-responsive self-service portal. CRM Vertex is not only mobile, it’s the most cost-effective and easiest portal solution that drive engagement for your customers and end users. We continue to lead the way in portals that are based 100% on Dynamics CRM configuration and we look forward to continuing releases that focus on the best portal experience that delight our customers.
